 Problem/Possible cause

 Solution

 Chipquality is not satisfactory

1) The knives are too dull

2) The anvil is worn

3) The knife has been worn too far (<106 mm)

4) The distance between knife and anvil is too big

5) Sliverbreaker not mounted or worn

1) Grind the knives

2) Turn/replace the anvil

3) Change the knives

4) Adjust the distance between the knives and anvil

5) Mount or change the sliverbreaker

 Poor ejection of chips

1) Not enough drive

2) Scrapers are worn

3) Ejector wings are worn

4) The facing plate in the top parat

5) Not enough revolutions on the machine

1) Not enough effect on the PTO axle or the engine

2) Change the scrapers

3) Change ejector wings

4) Remove the facing plate in the top part

5) Increase speed to maximum revolutions

The rollers are not spinning satisfactorily

1) Not enough oil in the hydraulics system

2) The flow valve is screwed out too far

3) The stationary roller is blocked

4) The bypass walve is dirty

5) The revolution guard is blocking

6) The operation bow is in the 0 position

1) Fill up with hydraulic oil

2) Turn up the flow

3) Clean under and behind the roller

4) Clean the bypass valve

5) Increase the rpm on the rotor

6) Put the operations bow in the A position

The rollers are not pulling satisfactorily

1) Not enough flow

2) The V-belts are too slack

3) The hydraulic oil gets too hot

4) Too poor viscosity of the hydraulic oil

5) The hydraulic filter is clogged

6) The oil pump is worn or damaged

7) The oil engine is defective

8) The pressure control valve in the control valve is dirty

1) The flow valve is truned (opened)

2) Tighten the V-belts

3) Let the machine cool down while checking why

4) Change the hydraulic oil

5) Change the hydraulic filter

6) Udskift oliepumpen

7) Change the oil engine
